Before joining Keker & Van Nest in 2008, Cody Harris clerked for the Honorable David S. Tatel on the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Stanford Law School in 2007, graduating Order of the Coif. While in law school, Cody was a finalist and Best Oralist in Stanford's moot court competition and participated in the Supreme Court litigation and criminal prosecution clinics.
Before attending law school, Cody served as press secretary to the late Congressman Robert T. Matsui of Sacramento. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa with honors from Stanford University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations.
Cody is admitted to practice in California and before the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. He is the author of "A Problem of Proof: How Routine Destruction of Court Records Routinely Destroys a Statutory Remedy," 59 Stan. L. Rev. 1791 (2007). Cody recently taught a course in constitutional law at Stanford Continuing Studies.
